What we collect

We only collect what is needed to help you meet someone thoughtfully.

• Account details: email, phone number and the credentials used to sign in.
• Profile information: the details you choose to add, such as name, date of birth, gender, location, languages, marital status, photos, your story, values, church tradition and how faith fits into your life.
• Preferences: what you are looking for, including age range, location, relocation openness and denomination openness.
• Activity: interests you express, matches, and messages you send through the platform.
• Verification data: where you choose to verify, the minimum needed to confirm a check. We aim never to store raw government identifiers.
• Technical data: device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information to create and show your profile to relevant members, to power discovery and mutual introductions, to enable conversations, to keep the community safe, to provide support, and to improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

Your consent and our lawful basis

We process your information based on the consent you give when you create a profile and choose what to share, and to provide the service you asked for. Faith and church details are sensitive, so you decide whether to add them and who can see them. You can withdraw consent or adjust visibility at any time in your settings.

When we share

We show the parts of your profile you make visible to other members as part of normal discovery. We use trusted service providers for hosting, verification and payments, who process data on our instructions. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect people from harm. We do not share your contact details with other members unless you choose to.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons. See the Data Deletion page.

Your rights

You can access and correct your information, control who sees what, withdraw consent, and request deletion. To exercise any of these, use your account settings or contact our Grievance Officer below.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask you to protect your login and avoid sharing sensitive information in chat.

Children

SacredUnion is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create a profile, and we remove such accounts if found.

In line with Indian law, you can reach our Grievance Officer for privacy questions or complaints at privacy@sacredunion.app. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and resolve them within the timelines the law requires.
